Is it normal to feel resistance when exhaling?Updated 2 months ago
Yes. The resistance which slows your exhalation is called EPAP and it means the device is working as intended.
Why It Happens
SnoreBuds uses EPAP (Expiratory Positive Air Pressure).
When you breathe in, air flows in normally.
When you breathe out, the device creates gentle resistance. This slows your exhale and helps keep your airway open, which reduces snoring.
That resistance is the mechanism working.
What It Should Feel Like
You should feel:
• Normal inhalation
• Slight resistance during exhalation
• A slower, steadier exhale
If it feels too strong lower the Snore Strength.
The right setting should feel noticeable, but not overwhelming. If you need to use higher Snore Strengths, turn the dial and increase the Snore Strength gradually as you adapt to lower Snore Strengths.
