What should I do if I experience discomfort or irritation?Updated a month ago

Mild discomfort during the first couple night to couple weeks is normal. Your body may need time to adapt.

The 30-Day Adaptation Period

Some users experience a short adjustment period, especially within the first 1–2 weeks. In some cases, full adaptation can take up to 30 days.

You may notice and need to get used to:

• The slowed exhalation sensation
• Mild nasal awareness
• Temporary sensitivity
• Light pressure

This improves as your body adjusts.

If You Experience Mild Discomfort

If symptoms are minor:

  1. Remove the device for the night.

  2. Allow your nose to rest for 24–48 hours if needed.

  3. Apply a lubricant.

  4. Restart at a lower Snore Strength setting.

  5. Confirm you are using the correct size.

Gradual progression improves comfort. Many users start at Level 1 and increase slowly over several nights.

If You Experience Irritation

If you notice:

• Ongoing soreness
• Skin irritation
• Minor nosebleeds
• Persistent discomfort

Stop use and allow the area to heal.

Apply a small amount of lubricant like saline nasal gel (Ayr Saline Nasal Gel, NeilMed NasoGel, Rhinase Nasal Gel) to the outside of the SnoreBuds nasal tubes, and optionally, to the inside of the nostrils.

Alternatively, you can put a small amount of Vaseline on the outside of the device. Because Vaseline is petroleum-based, we do not recommend it for long-term nightly nasal use.

If you use Vaseline, use only a small amount and only for short-term adaptation. For regular use, switch to a saline nasal gel or water-based lubricant.

These help maintain moisture in the nose and prevents soreness, irritation, and pain.

If symptoms continue beyond 30 days and after proper sizing and gradual adjustment, stop use and consult a healthcare professional.
