What is EPAP?Updated 2 months ago
EPAP stands for Expiratory Positive Air Pressure.
It is a breathing mechanism that creates gentle back pressure when you exhale. This back pressure helps support the airway during sleep.
How EPAP Works
When using an EPAP device:
• You inhale normally.
• During exhalation, airflow is partially restricted.
• This creates mild positive pressure in the airway.
Unlike CPAP, EPAP does not require a machine, tubing, or electricity. It uses your own breath to create the pressure.
In SnoreBuds, the level of EPAP is adjustable using the Snore Strength dial, allowing you to personalize both comfort and effectiveness.
