My nose feels sore when using SnoreBudsUpdated 15 days ago
Mild soreness during the first few nights is expected and can take up to 30 days to get fully used to wearing.
Why This Happens
SnoreBuds gently dilates the nostrils and creates resistance during exhalation.
If you are new to nasal dilation or EPAP, your tissues may need time to adapt. Mild tenderness and soreness is normal and usually improves within several nights.
When to Expect Resolution
Most users become totally comfortable by 30 days.
Sizing
If soreness persists, and you are using Size 2 (the larger size), then you likely need Size 1.
Bridge
If soreness persists around the septum, you can cut the bridging material that connects the left and right housings, such that they are no longer connected and each is then inserted independently. This relieves pressure around the septum.
Dials
A final solution is to remove the EPAP dials completely and use SnoreBuds purely as a nasal dilator. This eliminates the resistance but still keeps the nasal passages open, which for many people is enough to reduce snoring, while easing pressure off the septum.
Here’s how to do it:
- Hold the device firmly.
- Pull out the white dials from the tubes (which also contains the EPAP valves).
- Once removed, air will flow freely through the tubes.
If soreness persists beyond that, please contact us for guidance.
